All our engineers have the relevant qualifications to carry out the works, including Gas Safe. We will never send an unqualified person to carry out work.

A Gas Safe Certificate, also known as a CP12 certificate, is an official document issued by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer. It verifies that gas appliances, such as boilers, cookers, and fires, within a property are safe to use and comply with regulations.

Landlords are legally required to obtain a Gas Safe Certificate for each of their rental properties every 12 months. Homeowners are not legally required to have one, but it is highly recommended to ensure the safety of their household. At minimum, we’d suggest an annual boiler service.

A Gas Safe Certificate covers a thorough inspection of all gas appliances within a property, including checking for gas leaks, ensuring proper ventilation, and assessing the overall safety of the system.

A Gas Safe Certificate is valid for 12 months. Landlords are required to renew the certificate annually to maintain compliance with legal regulations.

Failure to obtain a Gas Safe Certificate when required can result in fines, legal action, and, most importantly, endangerment of occupants due to potential gas leaks or faulty appliances.

The cost of a Gas Safe Certificate varies depending on factors such as the number of gas appliances, the type of gas appliances & the location of the property. Our rates for a gas safety inspection start at £65.00+VAT

No, a Gas Safe Certificate cannot be obtained online. It requires a physical inspection of the property's gas appliances by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.

If a Gas Safe Certificate fails, it means that one or more gas appliances in the property do not meet safety standards. In such cases, the engineer will provide recommendations for repairs or replacements to rectify the issues.

No, gas safety checks must be conducted by a Gas Safe registered engineer who has the necessary qualifications and expertise to assess the safety of gas appliances.

Gas Safe registered engineers can be found on the official Gas Safe Register website. It's essential to verify the engineer's credentials before hiring them to ensure they are qualified to conduct gas safety inspections. Nu Age has certified gas engineer who can complete a gas safety inspection.
